The Heidi Horten Collection focuses on modern and contemporary art. Located between the Vienna State Opera and the Burggarten, the museum also has a sculpture garden.
**KLIMT ⇄ WARHOL**
The permanent exhibition features paintings, drawings, and sculptures by artists including Francis Bacon, Georg Baselitz, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marc Chagall, Kees van Dongen, Lucio Fontana, Keith Haring, Gustav Klimt, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Gerhard Richter, Mark Rothko, and Andy Warhol.
The exhibition provides an overview of 20th-century art. An audio guide is available.
**Elisabeth von Samsonow** (19 September 2026 – 28 February 2027)
This special exhibition presents the work of German-Austrian artist Elisabeth von Samsonow.
It features sculptures, paintings, films, and an installation exploring themes of nature, myth, and fantasy. A hands-on area is also available.
