The tour starts at Mission San Francisco de Asis (Mission Dolores), one of the oldest buildings in the city with unique religious art and history. Nearby is Mission Dolores Park, once a Jewish cemetery, now during spring and summer, locals fill the park for activities. See Father Hidalgo's statue and the "Golden Fire Hydrant" at Church St. & 20th, which helped save the Mission during the 1906 earthquake.

Next, explore the nearby neighborhoods with street art and places like the Mission Community Pool and the Women's Building, known for its murals. Stop at Café de Olla, famous for Oaxacan-style cuisine, featuring dishes like quesadillas and tamales.

Stroll along Mission Street with its lively traditional shops and Victorian-style homes on Lexington and San Carlos Streets. Visit popular 24th Street for tacos at La Taqueria or coffee at Philz.

End the tour at Balmy Alley, known for murals addressing human rights and political issues in Central America.
