Take a roundtrip journey from Paris to Mont-Saint Michel where you'll have the chance to visit the abbey and take a guided tour.
As you set off from Paris and travel through Normandy, your guide will tell you about the rich history of the region that's been marked by invasions, from the Romans to the barbarians. When you arrive, enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the restaurants on Mont-Saint Michel so you're full and fuelled ahead of a day of exploring.
Inside the abbey, admire the layered Gothic architecture. Over the centuries, Gothic buildings have been built on top of each other, such as the cloisters and the monks' refectory.
Finally, you can wander freely over the hills, soaking up the medieval atmosphere of the cobbled streets and exploring the museums and shops.
