Book this northern lights boat tour with a backup plan and transport, and you'll be booked for the Whales of Iceland museum automatically if those lovely lights are hidden by bad weather.

It only takes about 15-20 minutes to sail away from the city lights of Reykjavik. Your vessel will anchor under a starry sky and you'll enjoy peace, quiet and a bobbing ocean as you wait for the northern lights to come out and play.

But, if the weather isn't on your side, no problem! You'll get to see a short film about the northern lights at the Whales of Iceland museum, displayed on a huge screen beneath a life-sized fin whale model! After the film, there's a Q&A session with your guide and a complimentary drink of your choice from the bar.

Then, just keep your ticket for the boat tour to use later. It's a win-win situation, and a whale of a time.
