Van Gogh once said, “I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process.” Dring this tour of the Van Gogh Museum, you’ll learn how the turbulent life of this fascinating artist affected his work, and vice versa.
Tours are kept small—no more than 8 guests per group—so you can ask questions and engage with your expert guide at any time.
As you walk through the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s artwork and personal items, you’ll get an intimate and thorough look into the man who transformed 20th century art.
Hear the stories behind iconic paintings like “The Potato Eaters” and “Wheatfield with Crows”, discuss the context of his many self-portraits, discover some of the artists who inspired him and spend time with his splendid sunflowers.
By the end of the tour, you’ll have a more nuanced understanding of the identity and artistic mission of this fascinating artist.
