Montserrat: Exclusive Sacristy & Black Madonna Guided Tour from Barcelona
About this experience
Travel from Barcelona to Montserrat, a 1,000-year-old spiritual and cultural landmark.
With your guide, explore the monastery grounds, including the main square, mountain viewpoints, and the basilica's exterior. Enter the basilica to see its decorated sanctuary, gilded details, and side chapels.
Visit the Sacristy and restricted area behind the basilica, normally closed to the public. Learn about religious services, monastic life, and the monastery's traditions. You may see liturgical vestments associated with Pope John Paul II's visit.
Discover the Escolania boys' choir and learn about its members' lives and musical training. If you select the choir option and it's available that day, return to the basilica to hear them sing.
Visit the Black Madonna (La Moreneta), a 12th-century religious symbol of Catalonia, with direct access near the end of the route to reduce waiting time.
Enjoy free time for lunch, shopping, photos, or exploration before returning to Barcelona.

HMBotel notes for choosing your ticket
Compare the inclusions above with your plans: admission, a guided visit and a combination ticket may cover different services. The venue name alone is not enough to compare them.
Check the meeting point and arrival instructions before adding another activity. The displayed duration describes the activity; plan travel from your hotel and your return separately.
Booking and payment take place with Tiqets. On that final page, confirm the date, participants, visit language, final price and cancellation rules; an indicative HMBotel price is not a guarantee of availability.
