Rome: Food Tastings + Trastevere and Jewish Ghetto Guided Tour
About this experience
Stroll through the lovely streets of Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto on a delicious gastronomic tour showcasing the authentic side of Rome. Follow your guide through Piazza Trilussa and Vicolo del Cinque, sampling pizza slices and Supplì (rice balls) along the way.
Next, explore Via del Moro and visit the famous Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of Rome's oldest shrines, featuring 22 granite columns with Ionic and Corinthian capitals from the ruins of the Baths of Caracalla.
Feel the classic Trastevere atmosphere with a glass of fine wine at one of the quarter's oldest osterias. Enjoy a variety of traditional pasta dishes, such as Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana, or Gricia.
Cross the river to Tiber Island and admire the historic Jewish Ghetto, surrounded by the remnants of the Roman Empire. Treat yourself to a Carciofo alla Giudia (Jewish-style artichoke).
Finally, finish this gastronomic expedition with a scoop of authentic Italian gelato.
