Ria Formosa: Boat Tour to Deserta and Farol Islands
About this experience
"Journey into the Heart of Ria Formosa: An Intimate Boat Tour Adventure"
Dive into a day of discovery within the stunning landscapes of Ria Formosa Natural Park. The journey begins aboard a plush catamaran, setting sail from the historic Docks of Faro. Glide through tranquil channels, cradled by breathtaking vistas and a symphony of birdlife – spot the majestic Grey Herons and elegant White Storks.
As the tour progresses, the distant silhouette of Culatra Island's lighthouse beckons, alongside the austere oyster and clam farms that dot the region. Then, the vibrant market of Olhão unfurls before your eyes, followed by the strategic sea entrance of Ria Formosa.
The catamaran first docks at Farol Island, a haven of enchanting houses, a towering lighthouse, and a sprawling white sandy beach that kisses the southernmost edge of Portugal. The adventure continues to Deserta Island, an unspoiled sanctuary where you can commune with nature, delve into a world of unique flora and fauna, or simply bask in the crystalline waters.
As the tour concludes, the catamaran returns to Faro, offering a final glimpse of Ria Formosa's alluring beauty, a treasure among Portugal's 7 Natura wonders. Don't miss this captivating voyage – book your ticket now!
