Ayutthaya: Small Group Guided Temples Tour from Bangkok + Lunch
About this experience
Explore Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a small-group guided tour with lunch. Tour the ancient temples and ruins, and learn about the historical significance of the Siamese Kingdom's second capital.
Travel from Bangkok in an air-conditioned vehicle or meet your guide at the first stop, Wat Lokaya Sutha. See its giant reclining Buddha, one of the few intact structures remaining in the area.
Head to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, part of the former royal palace complex where royalty held religious ceremonies.
Next, visit Wat Mahathat, one of the city’s oldest temples, known for a Buddha head entwined in the roots of a Bodhi tree. The temple once housed a sacred Buddha relic.
Enjoy lunch at a local Thai restaurant, where your guide can recommend popular local dishes.
Finish at riverside Wat Chaiwatthanaram. Walk around the temple grounds and admire its architecture, influenced by Cambodia’s Angkor Wat complex.

HMBotel notes for choosing your ticket
Compare the inclusions above with your plans: admission, a guided visit and a combination ticket may cover different services. The venue name alone is not enough to compare them.
Check the meeting point and arrival instructions before adding another activity. The displayed duration describes the activity; plan travel from your hotel and your return separately.
Booking and payment take place with Tiqets. On that final page, confirm the date, participants, visit language, final price and cancellation rules; an indicative HMBotel price is not a guarantee of availability.
