Las Ventas is the national home of Spain’s most traditional pastime, the toreo. This specially devised audio tour lets you explore the arena at your own pace and understand the rituals and pageantry that have enthralled a nation for generations. Learn the sway that bullfighting has held over the Spanish public, see the plaques and tributes to past glories and find out what inspired matadors from Spain and beyond.

Take to the tendidos – the stands where the adoring public witnesses the action and behold the full scope of the neo-Moorish arena, including the Royal Box and the President’s Balcony. On a hot day, you’ll understand why the shaded parts go for a premium! After that, see where bull and fighter meet in the ring itself!

You won't see any bullfights during the audio tour and the visit will appeal to those who enjoy getting to the heart of Spanish culture and customs.
