Unearth the secrets of yesterday at the enchanting Caves of Hella! Your adventure begins as the skilled guides greet you at the cave's mouth, and takes you deep into the heart of Iceland's enthralling, and very cold past.
Wander through one of the 12 man-made tunnels, a testament to an epoch that predates Iceland's first appearance on maps in 874 AD. The creators of these caves remain an enigma to historians. Some suggest that it was the work of Celtic monks, seeking spiritual solace, while others credit the Norse, the pioneering Viking settlers of Iceland.
The labyrinthine underground network is filled with age-old carvings that will spark your imagination as your guide tells you stories about legends and myths. Don't forget to charge your cameras - the soft shards of light pierce through the ceiling, casting an ethereal glow on the walls. Who knows? You might just solve the riddle of the Caves of Hella.
