Steinbeck's Cannery Row Monterey: Self-Guided Audio Tour
About this experience
On this fascinating two-hour walk in the footsteps of John Steinbeck, you'll see a whole new side to the historic Cannery Row in beautiful Monterey, California. Discover the real-life people that inspired Steinbeck to create his vivid characters, and visit various locations he used as backdrops for his stories.
While walking, your tour guide Lynn Momboisse will fill your ears with fun facts. Learn the fascinating events that caused Cannery Row to go from a quaint fishing village to a booming commercial sardine industry, then into economic collapse, only to be reborn as the popular tourism destination that it is today.
See popular landmarks like Steinbeck Plaza, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Monterey Plaza Hotel, Monterey InterContinental Hotel, and San Carlos Beach. The best part about an audio tour? You can pause him whenever you like!

HMBotel notes for choosing your ticket
Compare the inclusions above with your plans: admission, a guided visit and a combination ticket may cover different services. The venue name alone is not enough to compare them.
Check the meeting point and arrival instructions before adding another activity. The displayed duration describes the activity; plan travel from your hotel and your return separately.
Booking and payment take place with Tiqets. On that final page, confirm the date, participants, visit language, final price and cancellation rules; an indicative HMBotel price is not a guarantee of availability.
